Online therapy (also called telehealth or virtual therapy) allows you to meet with your therapist from wherever you feel most comfortable—your home, office, or another private space. Sessions are held by secure video conference, and you’ll receive a confidential, HIPAA-compliant link by email or phone before each appointment.
All you need is a computer or mobile device, a reliable internet connection, and a private space. Online therapy offers the same level of professionalism and care as in-person sessions, without the need to commute, making it a convenient and flexible option for busy schedules.
Virtual therapy works well for many of the concerns people seek therapy for and can be especially helpful if getting to an office is difficult or impractical. That said, online therapy isn’t the right fit for every situation. If someone is in immediate crisis or experiencing active suicidal thoughts, in-person support and local emergency resources may be more appropriate.

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not accept insurance directly. Payment is made out of pocket at the time of your session. However, I can provide a superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company if you choose to seek reimbursement. You can use the helpful, HIPPA-compliant tool on this page to instantly check how much your insurance might cover.
Because out-of-network coverage varies widely between insurance plans, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm whether out-of-network therapy is reimbursable under your plan. While I’m happy to provide the documentation needed, I’m not able to guarantee reimbursement.
If you have questions about how superbills work or what to ask your insurance company, feel free to reach out—I’m glad to help clarify the process.

A Good Faith Estimate is a written explanation of the expected cost of services for clients who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance. It outlines the anticipated fees for therapy services before care begins, based on what is reasonably expected at the time. This estimate is not a bill, and actual charges may vary if your needs or treatment plan change. You may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time, including before scheduling services.

Your first appointment is a 60 minute intake session. During this meeting, we’ll review your intake paperwork, address any questions you have about therapy, and make sure you feel oriented to the process. We’ll also take a deeper dive into what brings you to therapy and get specific about desired outcomes.
We’ll also spend time during the session getting a better understanding of your history and any important background information that relates to your concerns. By the end of the first session, we’ll have a clearer picture of your goals and a shared sense of how we’ll proceed together.
-
The length of therapy varies from person to person and depends on your goals, needs, and circumstances. After the intake session, we’ll clarify what you’d like to work toward, and those goals will guide the pace and focus of our work together. We’ll also check in regularly about how things are going so therapy stays useful and aligned with what you want.
Many clients benefit from working together for at least several months, while others choose to continue longer-term. In my work, many people notice meaningful improvement within the first 12–15 sessions, which is often a reasonable expectation. Some clients reach their goals in that timeframe, while others choose to continue deepening the work or addressing new challenges as life evolves.
The course of therapy can be influenced by a number of factors, including the nature and intensity of the concerns you’re working on, current life stressors, scheduling consistency, and how engaged you are in the process between sessions.
Ultimately, you’re in the driver’s seat when it comes to your care. My role is to support and guide you, help you stay oriented toward your goals, and adjust our work as needed so therapy remains effective and worthwhile.

For no-show or late cancellations (canceling less than 24 business hours in advance), clients are subject to the full session fee ($175), with the exception of the first instance each calendar year.
The fee may be waived if the client reschedules the missed or late-cancelled appointment prior to their next scheduled appointment, at the therapist’s discretion.

What you share in therapy—including session content, records, any proprietary or confidential business information, and even your attendance—is confidential and legally protected. Confidentiality is a core part of the therapeutic process and essential to creating a safe space for meaningful work. You have the right to privacy and to understand how your information is protected.
There are a few specific exceptions to confidentiality, which I’ll review with you in more detail during the intake process. These include situations where:
You provide written consent to release information
Records are required by a lawful court order or subpoena
Disclosure is required or permitted by law, such as cases involving suspected child abuse or neglect, elder abuse, serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or the viewing or possession of child pornography
My goal is always to be transparent about these limits so you can feel informed and secure in the therapy process.
